QuickStart is helping to fund services for children when the parent first becomes concerned about their child, prior to a diagnosis, through the new Getting Started Services Clinic. This unique clinic is the first of its kind in Canada. The Clinic now sees 300 children each year. All services are bilingual and are provided at no cost to the family.
QuickStart's new ReFresh ReStart respite program gives parents a break through a complimentary one or two night stay at a local hotel. They receive funding for childcare, up to $300, and $50 for entertainment.
"You've put a little spring my step. I'm not even going to tell my husband that I applied until we find out. So exciting even if we don't get it! Little things like this go along way in the daily struggles with funding, appointments, care, stress, worry etc." - parent
